A Message From the Principal . . .

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year.  It has been a pleasure watching your children become stronger academically and physically.  Please continue to work with your children over the

summer so that they come back in September ready for the work ahead.

We will send phone messages over the summer as gentle reminders that we are thinking about all of you and hope you are enjoying your time together.

Please be sure to visit the Mosholu Library located at
285 East 205 St. In addition to this, our website, www.ps94x.org, has a wealth of resources your children can use to reinforce previously learned concepts as well as learn new things.

  • KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS: They will have work packets to complete. If the work packets are returned in September 2015, they will receive 20 STAR TICKETS!!
  • THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS: (students who will be in fourth and fifth grade in September 2015) We have renewed our subscription for the online  reading program called myON Reader. Students who complete 15 book responses and return them in September to their NEW classroom will receive 20 STAR TICKETS!! (See notice above).
  • MATH CHALLENGE FOR THIRD AND FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS: (students who will be in fourth and fifth grade in September 2015) We will be starting the math challenge the last week in SEPTEMBER 2015. PRACTICE THOSE MATH FACTS OVER THE SUMMER!!!  You can logon to XTRA Math for extra help. (See parent flyer for more information.)

How Can I Help My Child Be Successful in School

1. Read EVERYDAY!  You can read to your child or have your child read to you . . . either way . . . READ!

2. Create a consistent after school routine.  Help your child study and complete their homework.

3. Be POSITIVE!  Always speak positively about school and learning.

4. Encourage! Give your child the opportunity to excel in all areas of their academics.

5. Be sure that your child is getting plenty of rest each night and is ready for school each day.

6. Teach your child to be responsible for their actions and to take pride in all they do!

7. Stay INVOLVED! Make it a point to ask your child about their day.

8. Communicate . . . Please know that you can contact PS 94 with any questions or concerns.
